Media study program

Courses in the humanities account for a large part of INSA group's engineering programs: 20% of the INSA Rouen engineer curriculum focuses on subject areas in the humanities, such as languages, communications, human sciences and management. In addition to the institution’s nine main scientific specializations, INSA Rouen aims to foster awareness of world issues by offering curriculums on five different themes: dance, sports, media, theater and music.

OVERVIEW

The media study program provides student engineers with media training courses in a time when images are omnipresent in daily life, on every medium, and deliver multiple messages. The theme-based program helps students to grasp the meaning of images, to understand why and how they are produced, and to create and experiment with sensitive issues or messages. The program is promoted both by the Ministry of Culture and Communication and the DRAC Normandie. It operates in conjunction with two key partners: the Haute-Normandie Media Center and the Entr(e)voir festival.

EDUCATIONAL METHODS

Three courses are offered and can be attended separately, without any schedule requirements.
