This position is part of the CARNOT HyLBM project, led by the UMR6614 CORIA laboratory (CNRS – INSA Rouen Normandie), which is internationally recognized for its work in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and multiphase systems.

The project aims to develop advanced multiphysics simulation tools (CFD, LBM, AI) applied to hydrogen storage in nanostructured metal hydride reactors, which is of great importance for the energy transition.

The postdoctoral fellow will join the Turbulence & Mixing team in a dynamic scientific environment, with access to high-performance computing (HPC) resources and international collaborations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for:

  • Developing advanced numerical models for simulating sorption phenomena in metal hydrides
  • Implementing multiphysical approaches that couple: heat transfer

  • Using and/or developing advanced methods (LBM, CFD, hybrid models)

  • Contribute to the integration of artificial intelligence methods for model optimization and reduction
  • Analyze and validate numerical results in relation to experimental data
  • Write scientific articles for high-impact international journals
  • Participate in the commercialization of research results (projects, industrial collaborations)
